YHLA helped a fast-growing, non-profit build out new and expanded office space in a previously gutted, 90 year old concrete building. The new 16,000 square foot headquarters features energy efficient systems and sustainable design for open and private spaces. The design takes advantage of ample day lighting from large exterior windows and skylights and ambient daylight sensors. The air handling systems maximize the use of fresh, unconditioned air to cool the space and flooring finishes, such as bamboo and carpet tiles with a high recycled content, were chosen for their sustainable qualities.
